Last Sunday, the daily El Pais
began publishing a
Library classical records that have 20 deliveries and since the number 2 is sold with the newspaper every Friday morning from the same price of 5.95 euros. The collection is somewhat similar to those entitled
Classic that released the same day (and many others in other countries) in 2004, although it is actually based on a different concept. It was then responsible for developing Diverdi from CDs taken from the catalogs of the label that distributes the books in Spain discs distributed with the newspaper (similar approach was followed with two other collections sponsored by Diverdi,
Mozart and Opera , all of which I had the honor of working). In this case, EMI is the company involved in publishing, which, and here's the essential difference is not composed of intact CDs already published, but miscellaneous manufactured from different recordings around the figure of a composer. As in the previous case, the CD is accompanied by a booklet with an extensive didactic introductory text which makes a journey through the life of musician and discuss the works that can be heard on the record schedule. Since I ordered the text for the book-album dedicated to Vivaldi, here 's the news that, except in Andalusia, Madrid and Levante (know the limits of this vague term), the volume reaches the newsstands tomorrow, as the second of the collection. In Andalusia, Madrid and Levante have to wait to issue number 12 (May 6) to get together with the copy of the newspaper. If someone lives in one of these areas and is eager to read my essay Vivaldi (which I can well understand), here are a brief preview and index the CD.
